Due to anticipated retirements this summer, the Chatfield Music Lending Library in Chatfield, MN is seeking applicants for the following two part-time on-site positions:
1. Library Manager, and
2. Library Clerk
Business Hours are Monday and Tuesday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Wednesday 9:00 AM to Noon.
The non-profit Chatfield Music Lending Library serves patrons around the world seeking hard-to-find sheet music for concert bands. The Library maintains a growing music collection of over 50,000 pieces.
The Library Manager is responsible for recruiting, training and supervising four paid employees and several volunteers. The Library Manager uses QuickBooks Online to record and make payments and deposits, run payroll, maintain personnel files, and prepare financial reports as needed by the Treasurer and Board of Directors, including preparing an Annual Budget. The Library Manager reports to the Board of Directors and attends board meetings.
The Library Clerk is the customer-facing leader of daily operations at the Library who reports to the Library Manager. The Library Clerk is the primary point of contact for Library patrons requesting sheet music, and as such must have strong customer service and communication skills. The Library Clerk ensures timely and accurate fulfillment of music orders. They prepare, assemble, and distribute music materials, both digital and physical. They generate invoices and track payments. They file, organize, and check in returned music.
Both positions require being well-organized, with good communication skills and attention to detail. Candidates must be comfortable using computers to carry out their responsibilities. A musical background is preferred. Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications.
